Field Trips

Did you know SPI closes each and every Wednesday to save our play space for the private use of field trips?

Wouldn't you like to bring your class or group to SPI and have the whole space to yourself for two hours? Well, we would love to have you!

Here at SPI we have an overhead climber, the Big Blue Blocks, an interactive sand table, a video microscope, Flexhibits, and so much more!

Generally, we host groups of 25 kids at a time or less. Some classes or grades may exceed this amount. If they do, they often contact Paragraphs Bookstore and schedule a field trip for story time at their space at the same time; half the kids in SPI, half the kids in Paragraphs. Then they swap places after 45 minutes. And we are just a block away from Paragraphs to make it an easy walk for kids of all ages.

Here at SPI, we would prefer that there be a good ratio of adults and parents to supervise the children. We often have exhibits that require adult supervision. One adult for 2-3 children is best. This may vary depending on the age of the kids. Please call if you have specific questions or concerns.

SPI is a great place to introduce STEM concepts to children in a fun and exciting way! Consider us for your next field trip!
