Why is SPI doing this? SPI’s educational program director, Rachel Garcia, participates in NASA’s Universe of Learning through the ASTC, and we were awarded a grant to share some extraordinarily cool resources and discoveries. We picked the AfterSchool Universe curriculum because it matches SPI’s emphasis on play and science learning with creative collaborative art components that should be suitable for a wide range of learning styles and interests.
