YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!
SPI is an independent non-profit organization whose home base is known affectionally to locals as "SPI Spot."  This facility is designed as an accessible community center and play-based learning space where families from Knox and surrounding counties - as well as out of town visitors - are welcomed during publicized public hours. From our space inside Wright Center (a building owned by Kenyon College and shared with us) SPI's team is privileged to partner with the College's faculty and students AND with MANY OTHER community partner organizations and local businesses to provide fun programming and prompts for self-guided exploratory play.

CURRENT HOURS OF OPERATION
Mon: CLOSED, except on publicized "bonus" days 
Tue:  CLOSED, except on publicized "bonus" days 
Wed: Field trips ONLY or daytime birthday parties as arranged 

Thu:  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Fri:    9 a.m. to  4 p.m.

Sat:   9 a.m. to  4 p.m. and evening birthday parties as arranged 
Sun: CLOSED 

Daily admission is $4 per person. 
A discounted Museums for All admission rate of $2 per person is available to qualifying families as sponsorship allows. 


Entry is at the back of the building, off Gay Street.
​Parking is free at Wright Center and in several adjacent lots (including 308 E. Gay Street and 404 E. Gay Street) 

Annual family memberships to SPI are available and enable unlimited admission to SPI for named members PLUS reciprocal admission benefits to participating ASTC member centers nationwide. These include COSI, The Works, and the Great Lakes Science Center.
