ASTC Passport Program
SPI participates in the ASTC Passport Program and welcomes visitors from member institutions. The passport program gives yearly members reciprocal membership to many other ASTC member institutions. To learn more about the ASTC, click here.
Each institution has its own admissions policy, so call before you travel to get the details. Also, reciprocity typically extends only to regular/general admission and not to tickets for additional attractions (special exhibits, planetarium shows, simulator rides or giant-screen films where relevant) or store discounts.

Please note these SPI restrictions:
1. Reciprocal admission benefits are extended based on your "home" science center (the museum location where you hold membership):
Science centers and museums located within 90 miles of each other are excluded from the program unless that exclusion is lifted by mutual agreement. Science centers/museums may create their own local reciprocal programs. ASTC does not require or participate in these agreements, or dictate their terms.
SPI has local agreements with The Works (Newark, Ohio) and COSI (Columbus, Ohio) to extend half price admission rates to each others' named annual members; all adults in the group should expect to show a matching ID.
SPI has an agreement with the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland (88 miles away) to extend free admission to each others' NAMED annual members.
AND
2. Based on your home residence:
SPI will extend free SPI admission to named ACTC membership card holders from other institutions IF:
a. The institution where the users hold the membership is OUTSIDE of 90 miles of SPI
AND
b. The home residence of the membership holder is OUTSIDE 90 miles of SPI.
Admissions staff will request to see member identification (indicating home address) at admission.
These restrictions are typical of most ASTC passport participant organizations. It is intended to protect member institutions from the possibility of users shopping around for memberships while expecting their hometown center to absorb the financial loss of admission revenue that enables its operations.
